Minnesota Pilgrimage 2012 - Day 1

Newton Falls, OH. August 1-- It's a different kind of trip when you go by automobile instead of by air.  Flying is faster, but when you have the time, it is really nice to see our beautiful country from ground level.

Today we left High Bridge around 9:00 a.m. and reached our destination in Ohio by 4:45 p.m.  We basically covered Pennsylvania from east to west, from the Poconos to the oil fields of western PA.  In between were beautiful rolling hills, fertile farm lands, and lots of forests.

We love the routine, too.  Lunch at a McDonalds, cappuccino at Starbucks, supper at a local restaurant near our Holiday Inn Express.  Tonight it was the Covered Bridge Inn near the center of Newton Falls -- not a fancy place, but a meeting spot for lots of locals and good food, too.

Tomorrow we head for Wisconsin via Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.
